Over the summer our House Maintenance Chair Charlie Ridolfi organized and oversaw several substantial improvement projects for the Chapter House, all of which were made possible by donations from Zeta Chapter alumni.
Some work still remains to be done, but the house already looks much better than it did last year. Here’s a summary of what was completed, what’s in progress, and what is to come, along with some before and after pix.
After all work is completed, we will have spent about $76,000.
Completed projects:
Painting of all common areas except the basement
Flooring replaced in first-floor hallways, Paddle Room, and first-floor landing
Replacement windows and soundproofing installed on dance floor
Two flat-screen TVs mounted to the wall on first floor
Stalls, vanities, toilet, and mirrors replaced in second-floor bathroom
Third-floor railing and banister replaced with solid drywall railing
Locks replaced throughout the house
Some doors replaced, including the back door
Gutters cleaned and repaired
Posts and floor boards replaced on side porch
Extensive cleanout of old furniture
Repaired old class composite photos
